About Down South Aquatics
Down South Aquatics is a locally owned saltwater aquarium business serving hobbyists throughout Southwest Florida.

What started as a passion for reef keeping has grown into a business focused on providing healthy fish, quality coral, fair pricing, and a great customer experience.
​
We specialize in offering both saltwater fish and coral through our online store. One thing that sets us apart is that we try to provide videos of our fish whenever possible, allowing customers to watch them swim, observe their behavior, and get a better idea of what they are purchasing rather than relying solely on a photo.
​
For coral, we continue to offer clear WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) listings so customers know exactly what they are buying.
​
Our fish are sourced from established marine wholesalers that utilize advanced fish holding systems designed to promote fish health before shipment. These facilities use large-scale filtration, UV sterilization, ongoing fish observation, and copper-managed systems as part of their fish health protocols. Prior to shipping, fish are packed in freshly mixed saltwater and pure oxygen is added to each bag to support respiration during transit.

Once fish arrive at Down South Aquatics, they are acclimated, monitored, and maintained in systems utilizing UV sterilization, regular water changes, and ongoing observation before being offered for sale.
​
While we do not operate a full quarantine program, we strongly recommend that customers quarantine all new fish before introducing them into their display aquarium.
​
All orders are placed online with options for local pickup and local delivery throughout select areas of Southwest Florida.
​
To help ensure the health of our livestock and maintain efficient operations, visits are by appointment and scheduled pickup only at this time.
